Nissan has developed various innovations to help reduce motion sickness. We conducted research* and tests measuring sweat levels and head movement to study their correlation with motion sickness, based on the hypothesis that there are 3 main causes of the condition.
“Minimize car vibrations for a smoother ride and greater comfort”
• Front Seats Designed to Reduce Vibrations
A comfortable ride in the front seats was pursued through analysis of human body behavior. It is designed to reduce body shaking and head movement to reduce sickness and fatigue.
• Zero Gravity Seat
To reduce fatigue while driving, we pursued the ideal posture that comfortably supports long drives. We aimed to always provide a comfortable seating experience.
• Easy-to-control Accelerator
Engineered to enhance motor torque during regenerative braking, allowing for smoother deceleration and acceleration. Drive every route with ease, even on winding roads, for a more effortless and less tiring driving experience.
• Smooth Braking System
Efficiently tuned brakes reduce vehicle jerks, ensuring a smooth ride even during sudden braking. This minimizes passenger discomfort, helping to reduce motion sickness and fatigue.
• Air curtain designed to enhance stability for a smoother drive
The air curtain system at the front bumper helps reduce swaying caused by wind resistance, such as when driving on highways.
“Not Tight, Not Uncomfortable”
• Seatbelt buckles that reduce pressure on the abdomen
The second-row seatbelt latch is positioned optimally to reduce pressure on the abdomen.
• Seats designed to reduce forward sliding
The second-row seats are designed to support more weight and distribute body pressure more effectively, reducing sliding and alleviating discomfort from the seatbelt.
