What is covered

NISSAN warrants that for a designated period of time or specific mileage, as described in each caption and your authorized NISSAN dealer will repair or replace any part on the NISSANvehicle which proves defective in materials or workmanship free of charge, except for those items listed under the caption titled “What is not covered”.
The warranty period begins on the date the NISSAN vehicle is delivered to the first retail buyer or put into use, whichever is earlier.

New Vehicle Warranty

The period for New Vehicle Warranty is 5 years or 150,000 km, whichever comes first*.
New Vehicle Warranty covers all parts and components of each new NISSAN vehicle except for tires and those items listed under the caption “What is not covered”.
As for 12V battery, adjustment and air conditioner refrigerant recharge, the warranty period is different from that of New Vehicle Warranty. The coverage detail is subscribed in the caption “Things you should know about New Vehicle Warranty”.

Lithium-ion battery warranty

The coverage period is 10 years unlimited mileage****
The standard warranty of Lithium-ion battery manufacturer is 3 years or 100,000 km. whichever comes first. The additional warranty period extension until 10 years unlimited mileage is a special offer by Nissan Motor (Thailand). All claims under warranty period are solely responsibility by Nissan Motor (Thailand).

Transferable

Warranty coverage is fully transferable to subsequent owners. For benefit of subsequent owners please fill in the information completely following “Change Ownership” page which enclose this warranty booklet and send back to Nissan Customer Care within 15 days after transferable.

What is not covered

1. Tires are covered by a separate warranty. See the Tire Information for details.

2. Any accessories or equipment installed by person other than NISSAN dealer or distributor.

3. Any parts and labor costs incurred in connection with required or recommended maintenance service as outlined in your OWNER’S MANUAL and the MAINTENANCE SECTION in this booklet.

4. Normal maintenance service such as engine tune-up, cleaning and polishing, wheel balancing and alignment, headlight aiming, replacement of filters, windshield wiper inserts, key fob batteries, light bulbs, spark plugs, drive belts, lubricants and coolant, worn brake shoes, pads, drums and rotors and worn clutch discs.

5. Damage or failures resulting from:
• Misuse, accident, theft or fire (Proper use is outlined in your OWNER’S MANUAL.)
• Use of improper or dirty fuel, fluids or lubricants
• Lack of performance of proper maintenance services as outlined in your OWNER’S MANUAL and the MAINTENANCE SECTION in this booklet
• Use of non-genuine NISSAN parts
• Alteration, tampering or improper repair
• Glass breakage, unless resulting from defects in material or workmanship
• Normal wear or tear, including dings, dents, chips or scratches
• Stone chipping, chemical fallout (acid rain), tree sap, salt, hail, wind/sandstorm, lighting, flood or other environmental conditions
• Repairs not performed by an authorized NISSAN dealer or distributor

6. Normal deterioration of trim, paint or other appearance items.

7. Any NISSAN vehicle on which the odometer reading has been changed so that mileage cannot be readily determined.

8. Incidental or consequential damages such as loss of use of the NISSAN vehicle, inconvenience or commercial loss.

9. Any parts and labor costs resulting from puncture.

What you must do

1. Properly use, maintain and care for your NISSAN vehicle as outlined in your OWNER’S MANUAL and the MAINTENANCE SECTION in this booklet.

2. Take the NISSAN vehicle to an authorized NISSAN dealer’s place of business during regular business hours at your expense in order to obtain warranty service.

3. Check for trim, paint or other appearance defects at the time the new NISSAN vehicle is delivered and report the same to your selling NISSAN dealer without delay.

4. Keep maintenance service records in order to show the proper maintenance has been performed.

What we will do

Warranty repairs will be made at no charge for parts and/ or labor (except for 12V batteries, in which case you must pay certain charges as noted in the caption “Things you should know about New Vehicle Warranty”). Any needed parts replacement will be rendered with new or authorized remanufactured parts by an authorized NISSAN dealer. A reasonable time to complete the repairs must be allowed after the NISSAN vehicle is delivered to the authorized NISSAN dealer.

Tire information

Tire are warranted under a separate warranty provided by the tire manufacturer. Defective tire (Original Tires from Nissan) must be sent to the manufacturer for investigation. Once the defective tire is proved by following Warranty condition. Defective tire will be considering to claim in percentage by calculation of Remaining Tread Depth against Original Tread Depth in each model specified by Tire Manufacturers. Tires are warranted 2 years or 50,000 km. whichever comes first.

Things you should know about New Vehicle Warranty

Adjustment
Adjustments not usually associated with the replacement of parts are covered under the warranty for the first 12 months regardless of mileage driven.

Air conditioner refrigerant
Air conditioner installed in your NISSAN vehicle as original equipment is covered during New Vehicle Warranty, 5 years or 150,000 km. However, refrigerant recharge not associated with the repair or replacement of a warranted part is not covered after the first 12 months, regardless of the mileage.

Original equipment 12V battery
The coverage period is 1 year or 20,000 km, whichever comes first.

Pre-delivery inspection service
To help you secure maximum satisfaction from your new NISSAN vehicle, it has been inspected and conditioned according to pre-delivery inspection procedure.

Lithium-ion battery
The Lithium-ion battery, like all lithium-ion batteries, will experience gradual capacity loss with time and use. Loss of battery capacity due to or resulting from gradual capacity loss is NOT covered under this warranty. See your Owner’s Manual for important tips on how to maximize the life and capacity of the “Lithium-ion battery”.
Additionally, damage or failures to the Li-ion battery resulting from or caused by:
– Exposing a vehicle to ambient temperatures above 120 °F (50 °C) for over 24 hours.
– Storing a vehicle in temperatures below -13 °F (-25 °C) for over 7 days.
– Physically damaging the Li-ion battery or intentionally attempting to reduce the life of the battery.
– Exposing the Li-ion battery to contact with a direct flame.
– Immersing any portion of the Li-ion battery in water or fluids.
– Opening the Li-ion battery enclosure or having it serviced by a non certified technician.
– Consequential damage caused by the failure to repair an existing problem.

Scheduled maintenance service
Proper maintenance and care of the NISSAN vehicle are indispensable for safe driving and lower overall running cost. The scheduled maintenance services are minimum requirements which should be performed at your initiative. Additional maintenance service may be required since weather and atmospheric conditions, varying roads, vehicle usage and individual driving habits greatly contribute to the need for such service.
Any damage or failures resulting from lack of required maintenance or improper maintenance are not covered by the warranty.

Applicability
This warranty applies to NISSAN vehicles registered and normally operated in the country where such NISSAN vehicle is originally sold. This warranty is provided to the original and subsequent owners of the NISSAN vehicle during the warranty period.

Consumer assistance
Your complete satisfaction with your NISSAN vehicle is the primary concern of your NISSAN dealer and distributor. If a problem arises that you feel has not been handled satisfactorily, the following steps are suggested.
STEP 1. Discuss the problem with your NISSAN dealer first. If you feel something more should be done, and the NISSAN dealer is unable to resolve the matter satisfactorily then .....
