Nissan donates e-POWER drivetrain system to Sirindhorn Children and Youth Training Center

BANGKOK, THAILAND (24 July 2025) – Nissan Motor Thailand, in collaboration with the Embassy of Japan in Thailand and the Department of Juvenile Observation and Protection, has donated its innovative e-POWER electrified drivetrain system to the Sirindhorn Children and Youth Training Center to support skill enhancement for youth through education and vocational empowerment.
This initiative, part of Nissan’s ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, aims to provide students with hands-on experience and practical skills in advanced automotive technology, enhancing their educational and vocational opportunities.
Mr. Takaaki Yanagi, Senior Vice President of Nissan Thailand, stated, “At Nissan Motor Thailand, our vision is to enrich lives through innovation and contribute positively to the communities we serve. We aim to grow alongside Thai society. Nissan firmly believes that providing educational opportunities for youth is one of the most valuable investments. We hope this collaboration will help equip young people with essential skills and open doors for them to become a vital part of Thailand’s future.”

The Nissan e-POWER drivetrain is an innovative electrified system that delivers a quiet, smooth, and responsive driving experience, similar to a fully electric vehicle, without the need for external charging. The technology has already been installed in several of Nissan’s core models in Thailand, including Nissan Kicks e-POWER and Nissan Serena e-POWER, and will continue to be used in future models.
As a modern educational tool, the e-POWER system will allow students to engage directly with cutting-edge technology and stay aligned with evolving electrified powertrain trends in the automotive industry.
Since 2014, Nissan has continued to support the Sirindhorn Children and Youth Training Center by donating a range of engines for educational purposes, including both gasoline and diesel powertrains, and conducting technical workshops for instructors. These efforts have helped instructors deepen their understanding of modern automotive innovations, including Nissan’s proprietary e-POWER technology.
This collaboration, supported by the Embassy of Japan in Thailand, also highlights the long and close relationship between Japan and Thailand. It exemplifies a shared commitment to long-term community development and inclusive growth through education and innovation.
