#เที่ยวทิพย์กันสักนิส #SupportLocalRestaurants Ready to Deliver: Nissan Recommends6 Tasty Thai Restaurants from 4 Regions
Nissan Kicks e-POWER presents a guide to taste Thailand’s best regional foods from the safety of home. Like you are travelling across the country, and supporting local restaurants at the same time.
Bangkok, Thailand (05 July, 2021) – Many of us miss traveling on long, beautiful trips filled with delicious foods, but due to the current situation we all need to stay safe at home and limit the places we visit. So to help people feel as if they are #เที่ยวทิพย์กันสักนิส, NISSAN KICKs e-POWER, the innovative car that gives the benefits of EV driving with convenience of a fuel tank, will be your guide and take you all on an “imaginary trip” to safely explore Thai local cuisines from all four regions.
Through six different restaurants in Bangkok, you can order delivery to eat at home which not only helps support restaurants, but we guarantee that this delicious food will definitely make you feel as though you are on a real trip across Thailand!
1. Ong Tong Khao Soi
Recommended on the Michelin Bib Gourmand list (restaurants that offer great food at reasonable prices) for three years in a row, ‘Ong Tong Khao Soi’ serves flavorful Northern cuisine from recipes that the Chiang Mai-born owner inherited from his grandmother. The first branch opened in Ari in 2017, and it quickly gained fame for its ‘Khao Soi’ signature dish. In addition, the restaurant also serves another original signature dish called ‘Khao Soi Kua Haeng’ (Dry roasted Khao Soi). For Northern food addicts, it also offers Sai Oua, Larb Kua, Fried Pork with Nam Phrik Num, Pou Ong, Hang Lay Curry, Nam Prik Ong, and Khanom Jeen Nam Ngiao. And now if you want to cook some Northern delights at home, they sell Sai Oua, and Nam Phrik Num in vacuum packs and jars.
Location of the first branch in Bangkok - Soi Phahonyothin Soi 7 (Ari), Samsen Nai
2. DaraDalay @BKK
Another delightful Northern restaurant is Daradalay @BKK. The concept originated from ‘Daradalay Ban Din Farm,’ an organic farm from Chiang Dao District in Chiang Mai, where tourists can visit and savor local specialties using homegrown organic vegetables and fruits. At the DaraDalay @BKK branch, all organic ingredients used are delivered directly from Chiang Dao. What makes the food taste so good is the owner’s intention to use only the best ingredients, like when she cooks for her family. Nissan recommends Khantoke Mini Larb with Roasted Pork, Nam Phrik Num, Khao Soi Gai and Khanom Jeen Nam Ngiao. Moreover, the restaurant also donated lunch boxes to support hospital and healthcare officers during Covid-19 crisis, so if anyone is interested to order Northern food for donation as well as to eat at home, you can contact the shop as well.

3. Krua Boon Pak
When talking about Isan food, it is that unique spiciness and flavorful taste that’s always comes to mind. And Krua Boon Pak is the place to get that authentic flavor! They started selling food online for more than two years, but it became so popular that it opened a physical restaurant in Rama IX area. They are now famous for authentic home-style Isan cuisine, with strong, hot flavorful dishes that you should try like Yum Khanom Jeen and Khanom Jeen Nam Yar Par. Plus, don’t miss out on the daily special menu called ‘Jaew Tum’ – full-of-flavor dipping sauce with fermented fish and olives. And to enjoy at home, feel free to order their own homemade fermented fish sauce, so whoever loves tasty Isan food at home must not miss it!

Nissan recommends these should be paired with non-spicy dishes such as Moo Ko (Fried pork with herb) and Black Boiled Squid. The combination is both spicy and mellow that can make you feel like you are embarking on a food-venture in the South, even from your couch!

6. Khunthong 2020 by Nakorn
Another region that is popular for its variety of food styles is the central region. Nissan Kicks e-POWER recommends ‘Khunthong 2020 by Nakorn,’ a central restaurant with a little fusion twist. For instance, the boat noodle here is served in Shabu style! The restaurant also serves big-fat grilled River Prawns so there is no need to head to Ayutthaya, because you can enjoy eating them at home! There is also Hot Pan Beef, Stir-fried Crab with Curry Powder, and many other delectable made-to-order seafood dishes that you can choose to be grilled, boiled, etc. The restaurant also places great emphasis on the fresh ingredients and taste of the food, so getting a taste of central Thailand is easy and delicious!
Location – Ratchada Soi4
Aside from being able to enjoy an imaginary trip through scrumptious and satisfying meals with the flavors of all 4 regions of Thailand, supporting restaurants through ordering delivery to eat at home during this period is a good way to support local restaurants to get through this difficult time together. If you have never tried the food at any of these restaurants before, now is the time!
