Repairs should be scheduled at an authorized dealer as soon as possible

BANGKOK, Thailand  (November 29, 2018) – While many of Nissan’s valued customers have already  replaced their affected Takata airbags as a result of its direct communications with them, Nissan is today launching a public campaign so all potentially impacted customers in Thailand can schedule repairs as soon as possible to ensure their ongoing safety.

In keeping with its commitment to the safety of all drivers and passengers and to increase the repair rate to 100%, Nissan customers can have their airbags replaced at the dealership of their choice at no cost to them.

The ongoing service campaign continues to address eight models:

1.    2000-2002 Nissan Cefiro

2.    2010-2011 Nissan March

3.    2011 Nissan Almera

4.    2004-2005 Nissan X-Trail

6.    2004-2009 Nissan Teana

7.    2006-2014 Nissan Navara

“While many of our customers have responded to our direct communications through letters and calls, the ongoing safety of all our customers is paramount for us and so we are now embarking on a public campaign to try and ensure a 100% replacement rate,” said Antoine Barthes, president of Nissan Motor (Thailand).

Customers with any of these models are encouraged to visit the Nissan website at www.nissan.co.th, and input Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) or Chassis number to determine if their vehicle is affected by the issue.
