Bangkok, Thailand (January 13, 2021) – As part of Children’s Day 2021, Nissan Thailand has donated 200 sets of stationery, face masks and drawing books as well as 10 bicycles to more than 200 children in the Sisa Chorakhe Yai Community, next to Nissan’s manufacturing facilities in Samut Prakan. The event was held in accordance with the guidelines for measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infections.

This is the fourth year that Nissan Children’s Day activities have taken place to donate to the children at Sisa Chorakhe Yai Community, with a ‘new normal’ event this year where the donations will be sent to the community directly. The event underscores Nissan’s ongoing commitment to working closely with those communities near its manufacturing facilities.

“During this time, it was important that Nissan Thailand’s Children day donation continued in a safe way that respects measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infections, as we remain deeply committed to supporting local communities where our valued customers, employees and dealers live and work. This ongoing Children’s Day activity is our tradition and we are proud to continue to spread joy to many children in our local communities," said Surachai Nilkumwong, (Regional) Vice President – Human Resources, ASEAN, Nissan in Thailand.
