BANGKOK, Thailand (03 December, 2018) – Nissan Motor Thailand’s vice president of communications, Peter Galli, recently spoke to more than 70 communication students at Mahidol University International College (MUIC) on the topic of how to communicate effectively when the only constant in life is change.

The presentation was based on insights gleaned from his decades of global experience working in media, public relations, executive and corporate communications.

“You should always think big and when opportunity knocks, open the door every time, as you never know what lies behind it and how that could change your life path forever. Also, be clear what you want your career path to be and what you need to do to get there.

Be passionate, curious and positive and always fully commit to everything you do.” Galli told the students.

The presentation covered topics like the changing media landscape in Thailand, storytelling, measuring ROI and crisis management in a social media world, where more and more people are no longer getting their news through traditional media but rather via social media.

“Companies are having to rapidly adapt to the needs of their customers and to reaching them where they are. For example, we recently launched the new Nissan Teana using virtual reality technology and 360 degree video, a communications first for the Thai automotive industry.” Galli said.

Nissan also launched the all-new Nissan LEAF to Thailand, the bestselling Electric Vehicle in the world and an icon of Nissan Intelligent Mobility, the company’s roadmap for the technological and business evolution of the automotive industry.

Companies also need to participate in their local communities, he said, noting that Nissan is involved in initiatives that give back to Thai society such as its Honor the King’s Legacy and Youth Leadership Development projects.
