Nissan assists car owners affected by Thailand’s floods

Bangkok, 13 September 2019 – To help those affected by severe flooding across Thailand, Nissan in Thailand would like to help those whose lives have been disrupted by the devastating storms, and those whose vehicles have been damaged. The Nissan Flood Recovery Support Initiative has been created to help obtain vital necessities to help communities to rebuild.

First, Nissan together with members of the automotive media will drive hundreds of kilometers in a Nissan Flood Recovery Media Caravan to donate water and other necessities from the company and its employees to the Thai Red Cross in Ubon Ratchathani province, on the 13th to 14th of September. The drive will use six Nissan 4WD cars to carry the supplies safely on the long drive - three Nissan Terra’s, two Nissan Navara Black Edition pickups and one Nissan Navara.

Additionally, for people whose cars are damaged or affected by flood waters, and are not covered by their vehicle insurance policy, Nissan is offering a 30% discount on Nissan genuine parts, lubricants, and chemical products. This support promotion is available from 7 September - 30 November 2019.

For more information or inquiries about participating dealer outlets, please contact the Nissan Call Center at 02 401 9600 or visit www.nissan.co.th.

“During the time that some of our Thai communities are affected so heavily, Nissan would like to help. We also are proud to demonstrate our commitment to our valued customers who are at the heart of everything we, at Nissan, do,” said Teeraphan Laongsri, vice president of after sales for Nissan in Thailand.

This initiative follows Nissan Flood Recovery Road Trip in 2017, when Nissan together with  journalists drove over 1,500 kilometers to Sakon Nakhon province to deliver 10,000 bottles of water and additional necessities donated by Nissan employees to flood victims in the area.
