BANGKOK, Thailand (March 8, 2019) - Nissan in Thailand today unveiled the  updated  2019 Navara and New Black Edition models, raising the bar for tough and hard-working pickup trucks.

Both the new 2019 Navara and New Black Edition have the first-in-class Around View Monitor (AVM), which provides a 360-degree aerial view of the Navara and its surrounds using four separate cameras located around the truck. They also boast a range of design updates, enhanced safety and comfort along with other improvements designed to keep Nissan’s pickup customers firmly at the heart of everything the company does.

“Nissan has over 80 years of experience engineering some of the best pickup trucks in the world, and I am proud to say that the 2019 Navara is a significant step forward and should ensure that the Navara continues to be a top-of-mind vehicle for our Thai customers,” said Antoine Barthes, president, Nissan Motor Thailand. “The launch of the new 2019 Navara and New Black Edition models also helps highlight Nissan’s commitment to bringing the right vehicles in the right categories to Thailand.”

A range of Nissan Intelligent Mobility (NIM) technologies will also help people feel more confident, excited, and connected, with the new Navara 2019 showcasing a new NissanConnect that syncs perfectly with smartphones via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.  This intelligent infotainment system also assists drivers with navigation, lane guidance, traffic updates and an eco-drive track.

It also features an orange-colored theme for its front bumper fascia, side mirrors and side steps, as well as a new 3D sticker design.

The New Black Edition’s interior comes with a two-tone color scheme with black genuine leather covers and orange fabric seat and steering wheel stitches, while the gear knob and door panels are also covered in genuine leather.  Additional upgrades include a Drive-Assist display that helps drivers track speed and fuel efficiency.

“All of this is designed to build on the Navara’s reputation as a tough working vehicle. These updates are designed to meet the needs of even our most demanding customers and those who are passionate about vehicle accessories. They want a pickup truck that is physically tough yet stylish,” said Sureetip La-Ongthong Chomthongdee, Nissan’s vice president of marketing in Thailand.
