Bangkok (28 March, 2019) – Some 1,400 staff from Nissan dealerships countrywide recently participated in the Nissan Skills Contest 2018, designed to help sales consultants, service advisors, Customer Relations Officers and technicians realize their true capabilities and polish their skills.

The final round of the competition - which is one of the many ways Nissan in Thailand continues to invest in customer care - and the award ceremony was held at the newly renovated Nissan Training Center in Bangna-Trad KM. 22, Samut Prakan.

Siam Nissan Chonburi (Pattaya) was crowned the Master Champ, winning in three categories, while Siam Nissan Chonburi (Head Office) took home the Super Champ Award for coming out tops in two categories.

“This competition underlines Nissan’s commitment to putting customers at the heart of everything we do, and providing best-in-class customer service helps ensure that sales-to-ownership is seamlessly followed by repurchase-and-recommendation,” said Antoine Barthes, president of Nissan Thailand. “Our technicians and service advisors clearly play a vital role in this.”

Winners also get more global exposure, with four of last year’s Thailand’s Skills Contest winners participating in the bi-annual Nissan Service Technical Excellence Competency Award and Nissan Service Advisor Excellence Competency Award celebration at Nissan’s headquarters in Yokohama, which honors top technicians and service advisors from across the world.

  10. Paint Repair – Siam Nissan Tawanoak (Sukhumvit)
  11. Service Manager – Siam Nissan Chonburi (Pattaya)

Kamonwan Panjabut, a Customer Relations Officer at Siam Nissan Chonburi Co., Ltd. (Head Office), thanked Nissan Thailand for the opportunity to further develop her skills. “Winning this award is a significant career milestone, and it will be a driver for the team and me to strive to provide even better and more customer-centric service to maximize customer satisfaction.”

Barthes noted that the Nissan Skills Contest was a testament of Nissan’s commitment to adding value for customers through improved support and investment in the skills development of its employees and those of its dealer partners. “The competition’s goals align well with Nissan’s mid-term plan, M.O.V.E. to 2022,” he said.
