BANGKOK, Thailand (July 3, 2019) – ‘Innovation that Excites’ will be the theme of the Nissan booth at the Bangkok International Auto Salon 2019. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience first-hand Nissan’s iconic GT-R super sports car, or even being able to take a thrilling ‘drive’ with the virtual reality GT-R racing simulator.

The GT-R is Nissan’s legendary super sports car, engineered and refined from Nissan’s more than 35 years of expertise in global motorsports development. Visitors to Nissan’s booth can view this iconic sports car in real life before getting a taste of its power and performance in the innovative GT-R racing simulator on a first-come, first served basis.

“The legendary GT-R super sports car will be the star of our booth at the Bangkok Auto Salon 2019, along with the highly customizable Navara Black edition 2019, Almera Sportech, and the new frame-based Nissan Terra luxury SUV,” said Sureetip La-Ongthong Chomthongdee, Nissan's vice president for marketing in Thailand. “Attendees can also learn more about how Nissan is also supporting the electrification of Thailand and ensuring home charging options for our valued customers through deals with MEA, PEA, Delta, and others,” she added.

The Auto Salon, held at IMPACT Challenger Hall 3 from July 3 to 7, is billed as the largest modified automotive show and sales event of its kind in ASEAN, and Nissan will be offering its valued customers a range of options to accessorize and customize the vehicle of their choice.

In addition to experiencing the GT-R, customers also can view a range of Nissan vehicles, from the tough, intelligent Nissan Navara Black Edition 2019 and the new Nissan Terra, a frame-based intelligent SUV, to the all-new Nissan LEAF, the world’s best-selling Electric Vehicle and icon of Nissan Intelligent Mobility (NIM). Select models will also be available for test drives.

Another unique feature of the Nissan booth will be the dedicated 'LEAF Education' zone, which highlights advanced technologies available in the all-new Nissan LEAF, including the e-PEDAL. This advanced technology allows drivers to use just one pedal for both acceleration and braking, and attendees can experience this for themselves on the e-PEDAL simulator available in the educational zone.

Customers will also benefit from special ‘Smart Choice’ promotions and offers at the event. A year of complimentary ‘Nissan Premium Protection’ first-class insurance is included for those who book and take delivery of a Nissan Navara, X-Trail, Terra, Note, March, Almera, Sylphy, and Teana by July 31, 2019. (Special offers only available through Nissan Leasing Thailand)
