NISSAN APPOINTS ANTOINE BARTHES PRESIDENT FOR THAILAND

(BANGKOK, October 28, 2016): Nissan today announced the appointment of Antoine Barthes as the new President for Nissan Motor Thailand Ltd, effective November 01, 2016. Barthes will report to Yutaka Sanada, Regional Senior Vice President, Asia & Oceania, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd.  He will be based in Bangkok.

In his new role, Mr. Barthes will be responsible for developing business strategies to maximize Nissan’s overall performance, managing product introduction and significantly increasing the presence and accessibility of the Nissan brand in pursuit of its ambition to be a major player in the country’s automotive sector. He will also oversee manufacturing at the plant in Thailand catering to the domestic market as well as exports to more than 100 countries.

Mr. Barthes joined Nissan Europe in 2002 and has worked in several sales and marketing roles in various locations across Europe and the Middle East. He is currently the Managing Director of Nissan Central Eastern Europe, based in Budapest, Hungary.
