Automaker unveils new intelligent frame-based SUV along with an array of innovative vehicles and special promotions

BANGKOK, Thailand (August 17, 2018) – The all-new Nissan Terra, the intelligent frame-based SUV, was unveiled for the first time to the Thai public at BIG Motor Sale 2018 – highlighting Nissan’s ongoing commitment to the Thai market.

The all-new Nissan Terra combines best-in-class engine performance with spacious comfort and advanced driving technology, allowing customers the freedom to take on any journey with confidence.

It also brings a 2.3-liter twin turbo diesel engine (YS23DDTT) with the 7-speed automatic transmission, along with the best acceleration performance in its class, ensuring a smooth yet powerful drive with its 190 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque.

“We have promised to bring the right vehicles in the right segments to meet the needs of our valued Thai customers,” said Antoine Barthes, president, Nissan Motor Thailand. “The launch of the all-new Nissan Terra today is another example of how we are doing that, and follows the release of our Super Sports Car, the Nissan GT-R Premium edition earlier this year, and ahead of the availability of the Nissan Leaf – the world’s best-selling Electric Vehicle – within our 2018 fiscal year.”

The all-new Terra will come in 3 variations and 5 colors: Earth Brown, Black Star, White Pearl, Brilliant Silver, and Twilight Grey. The introductory price until the end of December 2018 is 1,316-million THB for the 2.3 V 2WD 7AT model, THB 1.349-million for the 2.3 VL 2WD 7AT model, and THB 1.427-million for 2.3 VL 4WD 7AT - ALL with a special interest rate of 0.99% for 48-months with free 1st class “Nissan Premium Protection" insurance for 1 year. Thai customers can visit any Nissan Dealer to place their orders starting today (17th August 2018).

“Nissan has more than 60-years of experience in the SUV segment, which we bring to the all-new Terra, featuring advanced smart technologies like Intelligent Rear View Mirror ( IRVM)  that gives drivers unobstructed views from a rear-mounted camera – and a first for the segment,” Barthes said. “The Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Blind Spot Warning (BSW) and Intelligent Around View Monitor (IAVM) with Moving Object Detection (MOD) ensure maximum comfort for all of the vehicle’s occupants for a safer and more confident drive.”

Show attendees will also get to see the full range of exciting Nissan vehicles backed by special offers, including the full lineup of Nissan Intelligent Mobility vehicles at its booth, A19. These range from city cars such as the Nissan Note; the intelligent Navara pickup; as well as the X-Trail, the best-selling SUV in the world.

The Navara NP300 Double Cab Calibre V 7AT was also recognized by the annual BIG Best Car of the Year 2018 awards for the most outstanding fuel economy, design, and technology - thanks to its Nissan Intelligent Mobility features.

Another highlight is the 2018 Nissan GT-R Premium edition. This iconic super sports car is engineered and refined from the company’s more than 35 years of experience in global motorsport development. Those looking to experience real race excitement can try out Nissan’s fully immersive Grand Turismo Racing Pod, a virtual reality simulator, available at the booth.
