BANGKOK, Thailand (23 August 2021) – Nissan Thailand continues its pledge to help Thai society during the COVID-19 pandemic, by uniting with JS100 Radio to organize JS100’s 30th Anniversary ‘Namjai Thai Caravan.’ As part of the caravan, Nissan provided its toughest and biggest vehicles, like the New Navara and Terra, for delivery of commodities and medical supplies to various departments, and delivered Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) suits to the Poh Teck Tung Foundation, for medical frontline usage to help COVID-19 patients in Bangkok and surrounding areas.
Under this project, Nissan donated essential items such as mobile bathroom, mobile toilets, bedding sets, and medical equipment for use at field hospitals, isolated communities, and COVID-19 care centers in various areas. Nissan used three units of Nissan Navaras and Terras on the caravan to deliver supplies to several areas such as Nong Chok District Office and the Ruamkatanyu Foundation for medical personnel and public disaster agencies.
“Nissan has been present in Thailand for more than seven decades. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Nissan wants to continuously give support to Thai medical frontliners and people affected by COVID-19. That is why we are proud to be involved in supporting various events like in the Bangkok area and nearby provinces like JS100’s ‘Namjai Thai Caravan.’ While for our customers, we also offer special services during the crisis under the ‘CARE FOR YOU – Next Fight’ campaign at Nissan showrooms and service centers across the country,” said Masao Tsutsumi, Vice President of Marketing and Sales, Nissan Thailand.
