BANGKOK, Thailand (September 27, 2019) To help those impacted by the recent floods in Ubon Ratchathani province, Nissan in Thailand recently organized a flood recovery media caravan to deliver vital necessities to local communities.

Nine members of the automotive media, along with Nissan Thailand staff, drove over 1,500 kilometers roundtrip to Warin Chamrap district using Nissan Terra, Nissan Navara Black Edition and Nissan Navara pickups to donate 3,000 bottles of water plus additional supplies donated by Nissan employees, dealers and the company.

“During this rainy season, Thailand is facing a difficult flood situation nationwide. Our employees and media friends united to bring vital necessities, together with our heartfelt goodwill, to flood victims,” said Ramesh Narasimhan, president of Nissan Motor Thailand. “Nissan has more than 67 years of operating in the kingdom and we have deep relationships with Thai people. We are glad to have the opportunity to help others in their hour of need as a heartfelt gesture of gratitude and goodwill from all of us here at Nissan in Thailand to those adversely impacted by these floods.”

The Nissan Terra, Nissan Navara Black Edition and Nissan Navara were specifically selected by the company to be able to safely navigate through flooded areas.

“On behalf of the Nong Kin Phen subdistrict we would like to sincerely thank Nissan and its media participants for driving such a long distance with a heavy load to bring much-needed relief and vital necessities to us,” said Uthit Praditsilp, Nong Kin Phen's chief executive of the subdistrict administrative organization. “ Even though we are living in a flood-affected village, the Nissan Flood Recovery Media Caravan made an effort to reach out and support us here.

Nissan is also offering customers impacted by the floods who are not covered by their vehicle insurance policy a 30% discount on Nissan genuine parts, lubricants, and chemical products under its Nissan Flood Recovery Campaign - available from now until November 30, 2019.
