Nissan Terra Shares Young Children Travel Tips
The travel hacks that guarantee a happy trip for the whole family
BANGKOK, Thailand (1 February 2022) - Travelling with young children can be tiring and frustrating, but the new Nissan Terra, a versatile, multi-purpose SUV perfect for families, has all it takes to keep your little ones stay calm and enjoy road trips. Follow these tips to stay safe and keep young children and parents alike happy!
1. Keep all family members safe
Before setting out, be sure your vehicle is up to date on any oil changes or periodic maintenance. You should also keep a roadside emergency kit in your car filled with first aid kit, emergency signaling equipment and flashlight. Having a baby on board sticker can help other drivers maneuver their vehicles more carefully on the road and to respect your space.
The new Nissan Terra comes with ISOFIX on the second row to keep children safe. The easy-to-use system lets you secure compatible child restraints in the second row without having to use seat belts.
The New Nissan Terra cares about everyone in the family, therefore it comes with the Nissan 360° Safety Shield, intelligent safety features that encircle the car. It includes pre-incident prevention to reduce the severity of unforeseen events. Starting with the Blind Spot Warning that is great for parents driving with children, who can be distractions, and feel confident when changing lanes on highways at any time and helps to prevent accident on the side of the car.
Intelligent Around View Monitor (IAVM) is very helpful, especially when you have young children around the house as it displays four camera views including a bird's-eye view of the vehicle which allows the driver to quickly understand the vehicle and parking space orientation. It ensures the driver is fully aware of everything that is around them at all times when reversing. It detects and send an alarm when a person or object moves.
And the Intelligent Emergency Braking because sometimes parent drivers get distracted, or just simply not having enough time to stop, this technology has been proven to reduce accident risk.
Especially with kids, everything tends to be in a hurry and we can rush out of the parking spaces, but don’t worry Terra’s Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) warns the driver with an audible alert when there is risk of collision with a vehicle crossing into the rearward direction of the reversing vehicle.
2. Hack your Packing
Make a packing list before a car trip with your toddler, to make sure you don’t forget anything. The list should include essentials items such as milk, snacks, diapers, wet wipes, a cozy blanket, change of clothes, any medicines, and their favorite soft toy. A tip for car snacks is to make sure they don’t have sauce, or crumble easily, to avoid mess. When packing bags, try using packing cubes to make items stay organized, and roll clothes up to make things easier to find. If travelling in the Nissan Terra, Parents don’t need to bring iPad or DVDs or chargers, thanks to the rear 11-inch screen, and they can easily pick cartoons with the Smart TV Stick.
Once you have everything on your list packed, it’s time to get it in the car! To make loading the car quicker, Terra’s auto lift gate makes sure you can pack your stuff easily because it opens and closes the trunk automatically by placing your foot in the center of the bumper. This is super helpful when your hands are full. The anti-pinch feature in the liftgate senses if an object is in the way, and will reverse direction, to ensure your little ones are safe while you load the trunk. Then Nissan Terra’s 2nd and 3rd-row flat-folding seats can easily be configured, making it flexible and convenient for all kinds of travel.
3. Stay Charged
Having your phones charged before take-off makes it easier to control in-car entertainment, but also in case of emergency you can immediately call for help. For busy parents there is no need to worry, the new Nissan Terra comes with built-in wireless charger, so you don’t need to worry about forgetting to bring the charger!
To charge yourself for the ride, don’t forget to pack coffee! Just make sure if it’s hot, place it in Terra’s convenient cup-holders at the front, and keep a lid on so no spills. Also, that keeps any hot drinks away from the kids, while parents can enjoy their favorite café stop.
4. Music to entertain and teach on the road
Music is one of the best tools for keeping family’s content and entertained during a family road trip. Soothing lullabies can also keep your fussy baby calm. Plus, listening to music in another language is a fun way to expose babies and toddlers to the sounds of words of another tongue.
The New Nissan Terra is equipped with best-in-class BOSE Premium Audio System with 8 surrounding speakers. Try making playlists for smart phones and include a variety of melodies that will appeal to everyone in the car. As road trips are about spending time and enjoying the journey together, your family road trip playlist can include singalong for toddlers, soundtracks from their favorite movies, or even kid-friendly mainstream hits.
5. Comfortable Ride in every journey!
Meanwhile, older kids can enjoy their favorite cartoons on Terra’s large screen in the via Smart TV Stick as they can choose to watch Netflix, YouTube, Disney or even play games.
Pre-organize a favorite playlist of cartoons, to help during a long delay on the road or in case of a meltdown. Or if watching movie isn’t their favorite, being in the car seat or booster seat allow them to enjoy the outside view with the Theater-style rear seating that ensures passengers on the second row can get a clear view of the road outside which helps to reduce dizziness or carsickness.
Road Trips with young children can be challenging, make sure you are well-prepared then let the new Nissan Terra keep your family safe and enjoy a variety of activities that will help your kids create beautiful childhood memories that last a lifetime.
