Nissan wins two ‘Car of the Year 2019’ awards
Nissan Terra 2.3 VL 7AT and Nissan Navara EL 7AT Black Edition take top honors
Bangkok, Thailand (4 March 2019) Nissan in Thailand took home two ‘Car of the Year 2019’ awards at the 40th Bangkok International Motor Show 2019, held at Impact Muang Thong Thani.
The all-new Nissan Terra 2.3 VL 7AT, an intelligent frame-based premium SUV, won the award for ‘Best PPV Diesel 2WD Under 2,500 cc’ and the Nissan Navara EL 7AT Black Edition was named ‘Best High-Lift Pickup Under 2,500 cc’ at the prestigious ‘Car of the Year 2019’ awards ceremony, a major part of the annual Motor Show, which runs from 27 March to 7 April 2019.

These awards follow other accolades for both vehicles. The Nissan Terra received a five-star safety rating in ASEAN NCAP's adult and child occupancy protection. The wide array of Nissan Intelligent Mobility safety features and innovative technologies helped the premium SUV secure the top safety rating.
The Nissan Terra 2.3 VL 7AT received the award for its many innovative features, including the Intelligent Rear View Mirror (IRVM) that gives drivers unobstructed views from a rear-mounted camera, and Intelligent Around View Monitor (IAVM) with Moving Object Detection (MOD). This e model combines best-in-class engine performance with spacious comfort and advanced driving technology, allowing customers the comfort and confidence to undertake any journey with confidence.
Fot its part, the Nissan Navara EL 7AT Black Edition, with its strong, sporty look and outstanding performance, won the award for its durable chassis and engine, which provide an outstanding combination of strong fuel economy combined with reduced emissions. The powerful 2.5-liter DOHC in-line 4-cylinder turbo diesel powertrain produces a maximum of 163 PW enables heavy hauling over almost any terrain.
